friends for 20+ years. moms. flower lovers. the ones who will show up with blooms for literally any occasion. cecile needs coffee to function. natasha needs tea. we both need fresh nails and flowers on every surface. we built golden hour blooms co. because markham & whitby deserved a wildflower floral studio - and honestly because we couldn't stop talking about flowers anyway.

The vision, voice, and hands. Cecile shapes the look and soul of GHB Co. - from the arrangements themselves to the handwritten note on every note card - while soaking up a slow, beautiful season with her third baby.

My flower obsession started young, watching my aunt create stunning bouquets past midnight in her shop. It really took hold in 2014 when I discovered the Toronto Flower Market and started biking home with bundles of blooms in my basket. I want my three kids to see me chase something that lights me up - and know they can do the same.

The one who keeps us grounded, on budget, and moving forward - and yes, also the hands in the blooms by pouring evenings and weekends into the thing that lights her up.

Flowers turn any simple space into something alive and beautiful - I've never needed much convincing. When Cecile brought this idea to me, it felt like the most natural yes. We've always found ways to be around flowers - courses, flower fields, mason jars stuffed full of blooms. Building something real in the community I call home has been the most beautiful surprise.

Why We Exist

Our community needed this. So we built it.

Living in Markham and Whitby, we kept looking for the kind of flowers we love - loose, wildflower-style, organic and gorgeous - and kept coming up empty. No flower market nearby. Just stiff grocery store bunches that never felt right.

So we stopped waiting and started building. Golden Hour Blooms Co. is the flower aesthetic and market our community always needed - and in Whitby, we're carrying on a proud local legacy. Whitby was once known as the Flower Town of Canada, and we think it deserves that reputation back, one wild bouquet at a time.

Made by two friends who just really, really love flowers.

Do you offer same-day flower delivery?

No — every arrangement is made fresh to order and delivered on a scheduled date. We recommend ordering 3–5 days ahead so we can source the freshest seasonal stems for you. It's slower on purpose, and it's why the flowers look the way they do.

How do I place an order?

Email us at hello@goldenhourbloomsco.com or DM @goldenhourbloomsco on Instagram. Tell us the arrangement you'd like, your delivery date, and whether it's headed to Markham or Whitby — we'll confirm everything with you personally.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver across Markham and Whitby, Ontario. All deliveries are scheduled in advance on a date you choose.

What is a wildflower-style bouquet?

Loose, layered, and garden-gathered — mixed textures of blooms, grasses, and herbs arranged with natural movement, the way flowers actually grow in a meadow. It's the opposite of tight, formal, matched-rose arrangements.

Do you offer flower subscriptions?

Yes — our monthly wildflower subscription delivers a fresh hand-tied seasonal arrangement to your door in Markham or Whitby every month. Email or DM us to join.

Can I choose the exact flowers?

We work with what's freshest and most beautiful each week, so every arrangement is a little different. Tell us your favourite colours or the feeling you're going for, and we'll build something in that spirit.
